Promoting your NFT’s in 2022: NFT Giveaways on Opensea in 2 simple steps
If you are an artist trying to sell & promote your art one useful technique might be Giveaways. This guide will explain how to Giveaway free NFT to your audience and why this can help to promote and sell your art.
I sold my first NFT as a Giveaway. NFTGallery on Twitter reached me presenting their paid and free promotion. By using free promotion you give them away some free NFT. They list on their OpenSea account and if they land a sale you get a fee. It is simple as that. The fee is defined when you are minting your item on Opensea (up to 10%).
Steps to perform a simple Giveaway
Step 1 — Find an audience
Find audience. I found an audience by posting my content on Facebook groups for example. There are a lot of Facebook groups where you can promote your work. You can ask people to do something for you in exchange for Giveaways. For example, I always ask to follow my Twitter account and to retweet my pinned tweet on twiter. People usually perform these steps and send their wallet address like displayed on the image.
Once you have the right audience and their wallet address you can go to step two.
Step 2 — Perform actual Giveaway
This is simple, go to Opensea login using your wallet. Find NFT you want to Giveaway for free and find Gift icon.
So just copy the address you want to transfer to. You will be prompted with signature details using your wallet and you will wait a bit until the polygon network performs a transaction. Once the transaction is confirmed your audience will be able to see NFT in their wallet. In OpenSea they will have to unhide it.
So once your audience sees your NFT they can put it on sale. If they sell you receive commission ;)
Let me know if anything is unclear I will help you. So when you mint your promotional NFT you can select a higher quantity and Giveaway your promotional stuff to boost your visibility. See how people have put my item on reselling without me giving them instructions, pretty neat.
So you gain exposure and it costs nothing. I will be exploring how to build custom smart contracts on polygon network to see what are the options for revenue sharing with marketers and artists that collaborate on collection.
